The Safe Cities Project

In 2001, Housing Resources and the City of Albuquerque Development Services identified the following problems in the area:

- 85% rentals/ 15% ownership (vs. 35% / 65% in the city)

- higher than average foreclosure rate

- perception of high crime

As part of this inventory, recommendations were made to address the long term viability in the area and identify opportunities for a turn around.
